Description

The bargello quilt is a fun, impressive design but a simple pattern to sew. Organization is the key to making a spectacular quilt to add to your quilting repertoire. During our workshop, I’ll be sharing with you my technique for creating Bargello quilts. The pattern we will be using is a free pattern from Northcott and it can be downloaded from this link

https://www.scribd.com/document/469447318/SerenityBargello-FreePattern.

Supplies:  Students will need to bring a sewing machine (in good working order), a qtr inch foot is recommended, but not required. thread, rotary cutter with a new blade, 24-inch ruler (any width will do), pins and or clips, seam ripper, and any other sewing notions you prefer. Please make sure all your sewing notions are labeled with your name.

Project Fabric Requirements and precutting required for class:

12 assorted coordinating fabrics - ⅓ yard each. These 12 fabrics should be precut into 2 - 2.5-inch strips, WOF before class.

Note: the lap size quilt will need a total of 4 – 2.5-inch strips of each color, we will only need two during the workshop.

You can also use jelly rolls for the Bargello. If so, you will need 2 rolls each with 2 pieces of the same color fabric for a total of 4 strips of each color). Bits n Pieces has jelly roll sets that will work, and I’d be happy to help you select a set.

Inner Border – accent color - ¼ yard, not needed for class.

Outer Border – border print - 1 yard, not needed for class.

If you have any questions – please contact me directly at jmdjr1224@gmail.com I look forward to a fun day of creating your Bargello.
