Description
This is a project that requires a sewing machine that can sew through several layers of fabric.
We will make the roll and then put it into a rug. We will be doing an oval rug.
Jelly Roll Rugs are the perfect addition to any room, and are great gifts for friends and family.
These rugs are durable, hold up well in the wash, but are soft and cozy, so they are perfect for children's rooms and high-traffic areas like kitchens.
Rugs are just the beginning using these techniques, different sizes and shapes can be used for different purposes

The Pattern Jelly-Roll Rug by RL Designs
A sewing machine that can sew through several layers of fabric and batting. New needles size 12-16 Microtex or topstitching needles work well. You want to have spare needles.
A walking foot (useful but not required)
A roll of 40 2 1/2” strips they can be a purchased or cut roll.
Batting 2 ½ inch strips you will need approximately 50 yards there is a roll precut that you can buy.
Thread and bobbins you will use a lot of thread.
