National Jelly Roll Day with Spark
Lap 78’ x 78” or Twin 57 ½” x 90”
Create this fun stripe pieced quilt using one Jelly Roll (2 ½” strip roll) and background fabric. This quilt will utilize two fundamental Studio 180 design tools, V Block tool and Tucker Trimmer 1 tool.

Students will receive a copy of the pattern at the beginning of class. Please note there is some prework required before class to get the most out of the actual classroom time. Please see the list of required supplies to bring with you to each class as well as detailed instructions on prework to be completed before the September 19th class listed below.
Each student may choose their own quilt size: lap or twin. See chart below for fabric requirements.

Tools are available for rental $5.00, per tool, per class.
Basic Supplies:

Straight edge ruler. I suggest the “First Choice Ruler” by Studio 180 Design as my favorite.

Rotary Cutter

Cutting Mat

Thread, Pins, Wonder Clips

Sewing Machine in good working order, as well as knowledge of your machine

¼” Seam Sewing Machine Foot

Small Travel Iron, with small pressing board

3 Paper Plates for organizing sewn units
Preclass Cutting:

Prework to be completed before class:
Step 1 - Organize your 2½” strips into 13 groups of 3.
Step 2 - Stitch the strips together to make 13 strip sets. Press the seams open. The strip set should measure 6½” x wof (approximately 43”). Pay close attention to keeping an accurate ¼” seam. Your strip sets must measure 6 ½” in width after being sewn.
Step 3 - Cut 3 squares 6½” x 6½” from 6 strip sets and 2 squares 6½” x 6½” from 7 different strip sets for a total of 32 squares.
